WELCOME to the 2026 Bike.Build.Home 500 Bike Ride!  This is the 4th annual BBH500 Bike Ride organized and sponsored by the Bike.Build.Home 500.  The BBH500 is led by a volunteer Steering Committee of veterans of the historic Habitat 500 Bike Ride!

Our 2026 host affiliate is Habitat for Humanity of South Central Minnesota located in Mankato MN.  We are grateful for their generous support and willingness to host this event.  Visit their website to learn more about their affordable housing initiatives.

The BBH500 is primarily an in-person, five day ride totaling 500 km.  It is fully supported and includes a Build Day for the Bike.Home and a Century Ride. For those who are unable to commit to the 5-day event, you can register for one or more days of the ride or as a virtual rider. Event VOLUNTEERS also register through this site.

All Five-day riders are encouraged to raise at least $500 for one or more Affordable Housing Organization(s) (AHO) of your choice.  All single day riders are encouraged to raise at least $100 for each day that they ride for one or more Affordable Housing Organization(s) (AHO) of your choice.    All volunteers are also encouraged to raise funds for one or more Affordable Housing Organization(s) (AHO) of your choice.  This could be South Central Minnesota HFH, another Habitat for Humanity affiliate or other nonprofit organizations (domestic or international) that build and/or repair housing with and for low income families.

Your registration fee includes overnight accommodations at Bethany Lutheran College in Mankato MN. Options include double occupancy and single occupancy dorm rooms. (NOTE: Single occupancy cost is an additional $20/night.) Outdoor camping is also available.

BE ADVISED: Givebutter includes a suggested TIP to support the Givebutter platform and service. You can adjust the tip to any amount including NO tip if you so choose.

Five day riders are encouraged to arrive July 14 in time for orientation early Tuesday evening.  The routes for each day will average 50-70 miles with shorter options.  Route maps will be available soon on the BBH500 website.  Breakfast and dinner are provided each day.  (Watch for a Rider Handbook with additional information following registration.)

Join us for the 2026 Bike.Build.Home 500 to have a memorable experience and raise funds for a great cause!  Last year, BBH500 riders raised $175,000 for affordable housing.  Your participation will make this a great ride this year, whether in-person or virtual.  So, REGISTER NOW for the best bike ride of the year and raise money for a very worthy cause!
